In a different light
This weathered old tree stands before yet one more sunset. I painted the silhouetting tree with my head torch to bring out the detail rather just a flat black foreground feature.
The last light of the setting sun creeps low across the sky as the transition to night turns the page on one more day. The stars are just starting to break through aurora like wave of light.
The reflections of the stars in the water on this perfectly still evening caught my eye. Venus was present through the knarly branches of the old dead tree and the crescent moon was low on the horizon setting an amazing scene.
This keen young fisherman admires the rising sun as another day is born.
The Bearded One
The Australian Bearded Dragon is an amazing look into our prehistoric past. The armor and camouflage that these little warriors employ is just simply awesome. They have just found that the Bearded Dragon contains two venom glands in the upper and lower jaw that secrete a toxin similar to the Rattle Snake. This is injected into the open wound via the saliva whilst biting the prey.....

The Pink Flasher
The Australian Galah is the larrikin of the Cockatoo/Parrot family, this crazy pink bird has some weird and wonderful behaviour pattens at times. A pleasure to sit and observe. I was waiting for this one to settle down and pose in an upright position when he suddenly noticed me - he then turned towards me and squaked loudly then pulled the ol' flasher maneuver and exposed his undercarriage.....whilst making a chuckling noise the entire time...quite a funny moment!

Lightning Bolt with a capital T. Awesome little storm that rolled in and dropped a couple of sparks with the stars still blinging away in the back ground. Not sure if the T shaped bolt stands for touch down but it made its presence felt!
Serinity Falls - Buderim from a slightly different angle. This little gem of the mountain is an amazing place!
This shot is of a massive storm cell that rolled in across the plains during an aerial crop spraying session. The pilot showed some big kahunas whilst surfing the front of the cloud and then turning and ducking under the low cloud to spray the crop below. The whole time lightning was cracking down all around.
This awesome Jungle Python was as fascinated by me as I was with it. I had to keep backing away to try and get a shot. An amazing experience!
This awesome sunset across the water finished off another day with some amazing colour. The reflective image of a firery colours resembled the blast from a rocket booster.
One of my favourite trees for silhoutte shots is in the perfect position for another lightning storm! It appears that the tree has electric branches quite an amazing coincidence!
